Here is what we're doing @ Yin Rising Acupuncture (YRA) to ensure safe space for healing and restoring mind-body-spirit balance.
How we keep you safe during your visit:
If you are sick or have been around people who are sick: please set up a TeleHealth appointment and we will mail/deliver herbs, aromatherapy, supplements etc. Please do not come to the clinic if you are sick. We thank you in advance for helping to keep our community healthy and stop the spread of Covid-19.
VITAL SIGNS
YRA will be regularly monitor your vital signs to keep you safe.
This includes the following:
Temperature
Blood pressure/Heart Rate
Blood Oxygen levels
MASKS
Patients and staff are all wearing masks. If you do not have a mask - we will provide you with one. This is important in common areas.*
* If you can not wear a mask due to medical reasons: please wait in your car. We will text you when your room is ready.
Patients may remove masks when face up just before staff leaves room during acupuncture needle retention time.
Patients may remove masks when face down - with an air purifier placed directly under nose/mouth to capture any respiratory particles.
Wearing masks significantly reduces risk of infection. We want to stay healthy and we want you to remain healthy. Thank you for working together to make this happen for all our staff and patients.

Yin Rising has invested in these top of the line Air Purifiers. We run these on medium when you are in the room and on high when we’re disinfecting room for next patient.

NEGATIVE IONS
We use salt lamps and other negative ion emitters to knock dust, virus, bacteria, pollen out of the air. “The ionisers produce negative air ions that collide with suspended particles and give them a charge. The scientists believe charged particles aggregate together and fall out of the air, thereby disinfecting the atmosphere and stopping the transmission of infection.”

UV LIGHT STERILIZERS
We use UV light to sterilize surfaces patients and staff come into contact with disinfect are especially difficult to disinfect such as money, cloth, upholstery etc.
DISINFECTION SOLUTIONS
We use isopropyl alcohol to disinfect electronic equipment.
We use RMR Botanical: an intermediate level thymol based disinfectant to disinfect environmental surfaces that patients/staff come into contac: such as face cradles and door handles. *
Cupping/GuaSha equipment
Anna Lunaria & YRA have been on the leading edge of proper disinfection protocols due to Anna’s original research and development of High Level Disinfection (HLD) practices for Cupping and Gua Sha equipment.
In 2017 the CDC and researchers determined that microscopic blood may be regularly present during Cupping and Gua Sha procedures - even if visible blood is not. Therefore there is exists a risk that blood born pathogens such as MRSA and Hepatitis C could potentially be transmitted from one patient to another IF the second patient happened to have non-intact skin where Cupping/GuaSha occurs. Anna’s expertise re HLD meant that when the pandemic struck YRA was stocked with PPE and disinfection solutions AND ready to practice using the BEST disinfection and risk mitigation practices immediately.
